Design submission info

  • How does the NeverEnding Design Competition™ work?
  • Users submit T-shirt designs which are posted on the site for other users to rate and critique. The winning submissions are printed on tees, and the winning designers each get a prize of £250.

  • How do you choose which submissions to print?
  • Split the Atom takes on board users’ ratings and comments, and then reaches an (arbitrary) decision. (We don’t guarantee that we’ll print the highest-rated shirt. But a high rating, accompanied by positive comments, will certainly go a long way to supporting any submission.)

  • Why are designers only allowed to work with a maximum of four colours?
  • To help us keep the cost of the shirt at a sensible level. (The more colours the design uses, the more expensive the printing becomes.)

  • When will the NeverEnding Design Competition™ end?
  • Never.

  • Who was first to Split the Atom?
  • Ernest Rutherford.
