It’s worth noting that Raindog seems to be a fave Atom tee of other designers. Just as there are bands that other bands go nuts for (Pavement and Talking Heads spring to mind), Jon Burgerman’s seems to hold the illustrating community in thrall. 

Jon says: "The initial spark of inspiration for Raindog came from the Tom Waits LP of the same name, and it made me think about creating a rain god who had a dog-like form - so I got scribbling and this is what happened."

The design seems ancient, mystical, but the placement on the vibrant gold and fuchsia tees leaves the finished product looking strikingly modern. It’s a winning combo of style and eccentricity.
