Atom Ant says: “The Coens, 'The Simpsons', Alex Ferguson: everyone has to jump the shark some time.”
The Boy Fitz Hammond says: “The Fonz on water-skis? I do hope he's not jumping the shark!”

We love the phrase ‘jumping the shark’ (the moment when a TV series/football manager/prog-metal outfit - or whatever - suffers an irrevocable decline in quality), and we loved it even more when we discovered its origin: the Happy Days episode (in which the Fonz water-ski jumps a shark) that is oft pinpointed by fans as the instant when the show turned crappy.

It seemed an excellent piece of history to capture on a tee, and The Boy Fitz Hammond seemed the perfect guy for us to get in and do it. His choice of muted colours adds wonderfully to the nostalgic element of the concept, and his comic illustration is superb as usual.

Who or what do you believe has jumped the shark?

Simpsons still cool

OK, some of the new ones aren't as good as the oldies, but it's still the best thing on telly.

Congrats

I just picked up Computer Arts Projects (takes forever to get to the states). Pretty great feature on The Boy Fitz Hammond. I was shocked and extremely impressed. keep up the good work.
