Ollirudi’s supreme illustration was inspired by an iconic sixties Lancashire-spawned beat-combo of international renown. (No, not The Hollies!!!)

He explains: “I was playing along on my toy xylophone while listening to the Beatles. I got this image in my mind of the instrument in place of that road-crossing. Simple as that. Next thing I knew I was doodling.”

Shirt factoid: we switched the submission’s asphalt grey T-shirt with royal (almost Superman) blue (Olli’s choice), because, as reported, we’ve currently got a disproportionately high number of the beloved asphalt. (The colour swap has, in our opinion, made the design even more striking.)
